Overview

The Future Leaders Fellowship 2026 is a part-time, virtual fellowship designed to empower the next generation of African researchers in air pollution, environmental health, air quality monitoring, modelling, and policy engagement. This six-month program (September 2026 – March 2027) offers graduate students across Africa a chance to deepen their expertise, collaborate with leading scientists, and contribute to impactful research that shapes the continent’s environmental future.

Eligibility

• Must be enrolled in a graduate program (Master’s or PhD) at an institution based in Africa.
• Master’s students must have completed at least one full year of study by September 2026.
• Research interests must align with one of the listed fellowship topics.
• Applicants must not be postdoctoral researchers or faculty members.
• Must demonstrate a strong interest in air quality, environmental health, or related fields.
