This program offers the CYD Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellowships, providing up to two years of funding for exceptional postdoctoral researchers in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, data science, and digital trust technologies.

Eligibility

Open to researchers of all nationalities.
Hold a postdoctoral-level research profile.
Demonstrate excellent academic performance and research achievements.
Conduct fellowship in a laboratory different from where PhD or current postdoctoral research was completed.
Secure endorsement from a professor at a Swiss higher education institution during the selection process.
No age restrictions.

Benefits

Fellows will benefit from a substantial financial support package that includes:

Salary contribution aligned with the salary scale of host institution.
Up to CHF 3,000 per year for research-related expenses and specialized project equipment.
Up to CHF 5,000 per year for conference participation and dissemination of research findings.

This support allows fellows to focus on high-quality research and build international academic networks.

How to Apply

The application process involves a rigorous two-stage evaluation:

Stage 1: Pre-Proposal Review, where applications are assessed based on candidate excellence and alignment with CYD priorities.
Stage 2: Full Proposal Submission, where shortlisted candidates are invited to submit a detailed research proposal endorsed by a mentor.
