Global AgriInno Challenge 2026 for Agrifood Innovators ·Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations

Overview

This program offers the Global AgriInno Challenge (GAC) 2026, an international innovation competition geared towards startups, agripreneurs, researchers, and innovation teams developing scalable digital solutions that address food security, climate resilience, sustainable agriculture, and inclusive rural development in Small Island Developing States (SIDS).

Eligibility

Applications are open to innovation teams and agripreneurs worldwide. To qualify, applicants must:

• Be registered as a company or legal entity.
• Have operated for fewer than five years.
• Generate less than USD 1 million in annual turnover.
• Present a technology-based solution at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 7–9.
• Include at least one team leader under the age of 35.
• Demonstrate that the solution directly addresses agrifood challenges in SIDS or has already been tested in island settings.

Preference will be given to applicants originating from Small Island Developing States. Female-led and gender-diverse innovation teams are strongly encouraged to apply.
