    Overview

    This program offers Ugandan innovators a chance to showcase functional digital prototypes aimed at enhancing government service delivery through locally developed technology solutions. The initiative is part of Uganda's broader digital transformation agenda.

    Eligibility

    Eligible applicants include:

    • Ugandan-owned technology companies and startups
    • Individual software developers and innovators
    • Universities and research institutions
    • Innovation hubs and community technology groups

    All lead entities must be Ugandan-owned and registered. Joint ventures involving foreign firms are not eligible under the current framework.

    Benefits

    Participants will gain national visibility, direct engagement opportunities with government ministries, and potential inclusion in the Uganda National Innovator Registry, which serves as a reference database for future government contracts.

    How to Apply

    Applications must be submitted through the Government Digital Registry portal here. Mandatory documents include:

    • Completed Application Form
    • Innovator Profile Form
    • Written system description (maximum 5 pages)
    • Certificate of incorporation or national ID
    • URA Tax Clearance Certificate
    • System architecture diagrams or screenshots

    Intellectual property rights for all submissions will remain with applicants, and materials will be treated confidentially.

    Deadline

    All applications must be submitted before 1 June 2026 at 23:59 EAT.
