Overview
This position offers an opportunity to lead climate philanthropy and donor strategy at the Global Methane Hub, engaging with a wide range of donors to mitigate methane emissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead pipeline development and establish review processes.
- Support donor and prospect portfolios; define donor stages and apply moves management.
- Identify strategic engagement opportunities and involve internal stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and report on pipeline health.
- Manage relationships across diverse donor types with sensitivity.
- Lead prospect research to identify and qualify new donors.
- Analyze giving patterns and map interests to enhance targeting.
- Expand and diversify the donor base internationally.
- Refine strategies based on external insights.
- Coordinate preparation for donor meetings and visits.
- Develop briefing materials for senior leadership.
- Engage directly with donors to strengthen relationships.
- Support tailored stewardship strategies and draft communications.
- Plan and execute events to advance donor engagement.
- Support coordination of the Funder Advisory Council.
- Engage volunteers to support donor strategy.
- Partner with program, communications, and leadership teams.
- Promote a shared culture of philanthropy across GMH.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7+ years in fundraising, donor relations, or related fields.
- Proven experience managing donor pipelines in complex organizations.
- Strong project management, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to support senior leadership and handle confidential matters.
- Experience in climate, environmental, or international development sectors preferred.
- Proficiency in English; additional languages valued.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- Willingness to travel (~15%) and flexible working hours.
