    💼 Role Overview

    The Security Program Manager will serve as a senior technical leader, responsible for owning and advancing the foundation’s internal security program while also representing the organization externally.

    This is a hands-on and strategic role, requiring the ability to manage day-to-day operations, design long-term security strategies, and contribute to talent development through mentorship and structured learning pathways.

    🔧 Key Responsibilities

    Security Program Leadership

    • Lead and mature CyberSafe Foundation’s internal security program
    • Define and implement a security maturity roadmap
    • Manage security tools, policies, and risk reporting frameworks

    Technical Oversight (Resilio Africa)

    • Provide continuous technical guidance and oversight to Resilio Africa
    • Contribute to security reviews and program improvement initiatives
    • Dedicate approximately 40–50% of time to this function

    Talent Development

    • Design and manage the cybersecurity intern development pathway
    • Set learning objectives, mentor participants, and track outcomes
    • Build a sustainable pipeline of job-ready security professionals

    External Representation

    • Represent the foundation at conferences, panels, and global events
    • Serve as a technical voice and ambassador for cybersecurity advocacy

    ✅ Required Qualifications

    • 4–5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information security
    • Proven experience managing or scaling security programs
    • Strong knowledge of security frameworks and maturity models
    • Demonstrated public speaking experience (mandatory)
    • Experience mentoring or supervising junior professionals
    • Ability to work independently and lead without close supervision

    ⭐ Preferred Qualifications

    • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent
    • Experience advising external organizations or programs
    • Background in nonprofit or mission-driven environments

    • Clear assessment and roadmap for security program maturity
    • Measurable improvements in tools, processes, and resilience
    • A fully operational intern development pipeline
    • Strong collaboration with Resilio Africa
    • Representation at 20–40 industry events or panels
