Governed by a Global Council, it connects artists, activists, and cultural workers worldwide to create lasting change.
The Opportunity
Global Artivism seeks an experienced Program Specialist to support regional partner activation, network coordination, and program integration.
This role is vital in connecting regional research, gatherings, partnerships, and community engagement to the broader organizational strategy.
The successful candidate will facilitate relationships across multiple regions, support regional gatherings, and ensure alignment with the movement’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Regional Partner Activation
- Maintain and deepen relationships with regional partners identified through regional research
- Confirm participation in Global Artivism programs and campaigns
- Identify partnership gaps and opportunities
- Keep partnership data current and accessible for strategic planning
Regional Gatherings Coordination
- Support Regional Fellows with facilitation frameworks and coordination tools
- Ensure regional gatherings align content-wise and strategically with the Global Virtual Assembly
- Track outcomes and document learnings for organizational use
- Manage budgets for regional events in collaboration with the Operations team
Knowledge and Learning Integration
- Organize and route research outputs from Regional Fellows
- Incorporate regional insights into program and campaign planning
- Contribute regional context to internal briefings and communications
Cross-Regional Connection
- Identify shared themes and partnership opportunities across regions
- Foster connections and learning exchanges among Regional Fellows and partners
- Support the design of inter-regional learning initiatives
Qualifications
Required
- Experience activating partnerships or building networks across diverse cultural or regional contexts
- Ability to sustain relationships across geographic distances
- Skilled in translating research into actionable program decisions
- Strong written English communication skills
- Ability to operate as an independent contractor, managing own schedule and compliance
- Commitment to Global Artivism’s values and principles
Preferred
- Existing networks within regional artivism or cultural activism communities
- Experience with social movement research or ecosystem documentation
- Skills in community convening, peer learning, or facilitating network exchanges
- Multilingual abilities relevant to Global South contexts
- Experience supporting remote or distributed teams
- Prior engagement with Global Artivism or its events
Contractor Details & Work Arrangement
- Status: Independent contractor, responsible for own taxes and compliance
- Duration: 12 months, renewable based on funding and performance
- Compensation: USD $2,500–$3,500 per month, paid via invoice
- Work Flexibility: Set own hours; participate in scheduled meetings across time zones
- Location: Remote; priority for applicants from the Global South
