    The Nature Conservancy is seeking a Public Funding Coordinator to support and expand partnerships with European governments and public funders.

    Based in London or Brussels, this role will be pivotal in mobilising funding to drive impact for climate, biodiversity, and communities worldwide.

    The position involves engaging with European government entities, developing high-quality funding proposals, aligning programmes with donor priorities, and connecting funding efforts with real-world impact across TNC’s global network.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support engagement with European governments, embassies, and public funding institutions
    • Assist in developing and coordinating high-quality funding proposals

    • Collaborate with TNC teams across the globe to connect funding with impact
    • Support relationship management with European public sector partners and stakeholders
    • Contribute to donor research, proposal development, and internal learning
    • Maintain accurate records, improve proposal templates, and streamline business processes

    Candidate Profile

    The ideal candidate will be highly organized, collaborative, and experienced in public funding, donor engagement, or partnerships, with a strong interest in climate and nature solutions.

    They will possess excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills, and demonstrate a practical, solutions-focused approach.

    Qualifications & Skills

    Required:

    • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience in public partnerships, funding, or donor engagement
    • Knowledge of European public funding mechanisms and climate/nature finance landscape
    • Experience in developing successful proposals and managing complex projects
    • Fluency in English; additional European languages are advantageous
    • Familiarity with donor guidelines, compliance, and internal review processes

    Desired:

    • Background in environmental policy, sustainability, or fundraising
    • Project management certification or experience
    • Knowledge of current trends in public funding and development finance
