Overview

This role offers the opportunity to coordinate and enhance collective efforts on Forest Carbon Markets, contributing to impactful climate and forest conservation initiatives globally.

Key Responsibilities

Provide expert guidance on Forest Carbon Markets to FCLP members.
Develop technical documents, policy briefings, and analyses to support informed decision-making.
Support annual workplan development ensuring alignment with FCLP priorities.
Facilitate member engagement and collaboration across workstreams.
Ensure effective delivery of collective priorities and manage meeting schedules.
Coordinate with other FCLP functions to support overarching strategies.
Lead the coordination of the J-REDD+ Coalition, fostering collaboration among members and partners.
Build and maintain partnerships to advance shared climate and forest goals.
Promote equitable participation within the FCLP membership.
Coordinate FCLP participation in key global events such as UNFCCC COPs and regional platforms.
Support the development of joint messaging and communication materials.

Requirements

Advanced university degree in environment, policy, law, international relations, or related fields with at least five years of relevant experience.
Minimum of five years working on forests, land-use, climate change, REDD+, or related legal and policy issues in tropical forest countries.
Experience in forest carbon markets, jurisdictional REDD+, and results-based finance.
Fluency in English and Spanish; French is desirable.
