    Global Artivism, a Global Majority-led movement dedicated to advancing justice through arts and culture, has announced an exciting opportunity for experienced operations professionals worldwide.

    The organization is seeking a Project Manager to support its growing international movement through a 12-month remote independent contractor engagement, with the possibility of renewal based on funding availability and mutual agreement.

    Global Artivism is a movement that recognizes art and culture as powerful tools for social transformation. Led primarily by individuals and communities most affected by injustice, particularly across the Global South, the movement seeks to mobilize artists, activists, and cultural workers to build a more just and sustainable world.

    The initiative promotes collaboration across regions and supports efforts that address social justice, ecological integrity, and collective liberation. Through its work, Global Artivism aims to strengthen the infrastructure, relationships, and resources necessary for cultural movements to drive meaningful change.

    About the Project Manager Role

    The selected Project Manager will serve as a key operational coordinator within the Movement Secretariat. The contractor will work closely with the Operations Director and collaborate with internal teams, external consultants, governance leads, and fiscal sponsors to ensure smooth implementation of organizational priorities.

    This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy organizing complex systems, managing workflows, and supporting distributed teams across multiple time zones.

    Key Responsibilities

    Workflow and Project Coordination

    The Project Manager will:

    • Track project deliverables and timelines
    • Coordinate activities across multiple workstreams
    • Maintain project documentation and records
    • Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks
    • Prepare meeting agendas, briefings, and status reports
    • Manage the organization’s ClickUp project management environment

    Contracts and Vendor Management

    Responsibilities include:

    • Coordinating contracts for consultants, vendors, and partners
    • Managing contract trackers and compliance requirements
    • Supporting onboarding and offboarding processes
    • Liaising with fiscal sponsors regarding contract administration
    • Maintaining vendor databases and relationship records

    Financial Operations Support

    The contractor will:

    • Assist with expense tracking and invoice coordination
    • Support budget monitoring activities
    • Maintain financial documentation
    • Flag financial discrepancies when necessary

    Systems and Tools Administration

    The Project Manager will help manage:

    • ClickUp
    • Humaans
    • Google Workspace
    • Slack
    • Shared organizational documentation systems

    Candidate Requirements

    Global Artivism is seeking professionals with strong operational and organizational expertise.

    Required Qualifications

    Applicants should possess:

    • Experience coordinating workflows and operational systems within distributed organizations
    • Strong project management and organizational skills
    • Experience handling contracts and vendor relationships
    • Familiarity with digital collaboration tools
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
    • Strong judgment and discretion when handling confidential information

    • Capacity to work independently as a contractor

    Experience gained through grassroots organizations, community movements, cooperatives, and civil society initiatives is considered equally valuable to formal corporate or nonprofit experience.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Compensation and Benefits

    The selected contractor will receive a monthly fee ranging from:
