Overview

This position offers the chance to provide high-quality inpatient and outpatient care in a humanitarian emergency context as a Medical Doctor with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF).

Key Responsibilities

Conduct medical consultations across various units.
Diagnose, treat, and monitor patients using MSF-approved protocols.
Prescribe medications, ensuring rational use of antibiotics.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans.
Ensure proper use and accountability of medical supplies and equipment.
Maintain strict infection prevention and control standards.
Accurately complete medical records and documentation.
Participate in epidemiological data collection.
Support training and supervision of medical staff.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Provide clear communication and psychological support to patients.

Requirements

Medical Doctor (MBBS or equivalent).
Valid practicing license from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.
Minimum of 2 years clinical experience.
Experience in pediatrics, tropical medicine, public health, or nutrition programs is an added advantage.
Fluency in English and Hausa is essential.
Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Internet).
