Overview
This program offers a role to lead mental health and psychosocial interventions in a humanitarian setting, supporting vulnerable communities while advancing your career in protection and MHPSS programming.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise PSS Workers and Psychologists on daily activities
- Conduct staff induction, mentoring, and capacity building
- Organize weekly case conferences for complex cases
- Ensure compliance with protection principles, SOPs, and code of conduct
- Monitor MHPSS platform and ensure accurate data reporting
- Coordinate day-to-day psychosocial support activities with the Project Manager
- Develop weekly/monthly activity plans and reports
- Manage referrals and maintain updated referral databases
- Represent the organization in coordination meetings and clusters
- Plan and design Community-Based PSS activities in line with guidelines
- Ensure safe and functional community spaces (WGFS/CFS)
- Assess and analyze community psychosocial needs
- Ensure proper use of assessment and monitoring tools
- Support training and development of PSS teams
- Maintain confidentiality and proper data storage systems
- Handle referrals and ensure timely feedback to partners
Requirements
- Degree or HND in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or related field
- Minimum 2 years experience (at least 1 year in a supervisory role preferred)
- Experience working with IDPs, refugees, or returnees
- Strong background in psychosocial programming in humanitarian contexts
- Strong technical knowledge in protection and psychosocial support
- Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience in training, facilitation, and capacity building
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
